Animal
Assisted
Activities
– (AAA) - Therapy animals
(mainly dogs)
make therapeutic visits to hospitals, hospices, retirement homes,
frail care centres, group homes and many other places. They bring
company, support, comfort, focus, pleasure, stress relief,
stimulation, or a distraction from pain or infirmity to those they
visit. They provide something to look forward to, and a welcome relief
from the normal routine. |

Animal
Educational
Programmes
– Therapy dogs visits schools and children's organisations to teach
about the care and needs of animals. The children also learn ‘bite
avoidance’ and interact with friendly, non-threatening dogs. It’s very
rewarding, to see a child that was previously frightened of dogs,
blossoming, after interacting with our very special animals. |
